Man apparently commits suicide by jumping from Galaxy Towers

GUTTENBERG AND BEYOND — A resident of the luxury Galaxy Towers complex in Guttenberg allegedly jumped to his death yesterday from the complex’s tower three rooftop.
According to Hudson County Prosecutor Edward DeFazio, the 37-year-old resident of tower one jumped from the 44-story-high roof into the empty swimming pool located at the ground level of the complex.
“It is a sad situation,” said DeFazio.
DeFazio said that the man called his wife when he was believed to be at the top of the roof just before 9 a.m. and left a voicemail on her cell phone.
“He did not say he was going to jump,” said DeFazio, citing other published reports to the contrary.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, suffering from multiple blunt-force traumas.
DeFazio said that witnesses at the Galaxy viewed his fall.
According to the preliminary report by the State Regional Medical Examiner’s Office in Newark, Busanic committed suicide, said DeFazio.
