HUDSON COUNTY — According to the Associated Press, former Assemblyman Louis Manzo and his brother Ron pleaded not guilty to additional charges Wednesday that were leveled against them earlier in the week. The Manzos were among the 44 officials and religious leaders arrested back in July as part of a political corruption sting.
Louis Manzo has since spoken out, saying the sting was part of an effort to get Gov. Chris Christie, formerly the U.S. attorney in New Jersey, elected governor.

Seventeen people have pleaded guilty in the sting so far, including last week, former Hoboken Mayor Peter Cammarano.
