Hoboken filmmaker’s documentary on NJ public schools is selling out theaters

HOBOKEN AND BEYOND — Filmmaker Bob Bowdon is getting more and more notice for his documentary, “The Cartel,” about the failings of New Jersey’s public schools, and the unions behind them. It played twice in Hoboken last week, and apparently sold out in a Bergen County theater.
The Gloucester Times says, “It played to a sold-out show last week in Westfield, Bergen County. The 90-minute documentary focuses on the high amounts of money allocated to public education in the Garden State — money that, according to Bowdon, is wastefully spent because it doesn’t produce results.”
