Funeral mass was held April 10 at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church for Fred Johanns, 66, a lifelong resident of Jersey City. He died April 6 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Jersey City. He was a lighting technician and member of the IATSE, Motion Picture Studio Mechanics Local 52. He was the husband of Kathleen (nee Fruge); the brother of the late Kathleen O’Hara, Henry Johanns and Geraldine McIntyre, and the uncle of many nieces and nephews.
