A funeral mass was offered April 10 at Holy Rosary Church for Giacomo Calamita, 76. He died April 3 at Jersey City Medical Center. Born in Bitonto, Bari, Italy, the son of the late Graziella and Vito Antonio Calamita, he worked as a teamster at Hunts Point Market Bronx, N.Y., for 22 years, retiring 15 years ago. He was a member of the San Cosimo and Damiano Society at Holy Face Monastery, Clifton. He was the husband of Savina Lacetera Calamita; the father of Vito Antonio, Arcangelo and his wife Carmela; the grandfather of Antoinette, Arcangela, Savina, Valentina and Giacomo; the great-grandfather of Manson and Adrianna; the brother of Nicholas Calamita and Maddalena Coviello, and brother-in-law of Nella Calamita.
