Funeral services took place March 24 at Bethel Seventh Day’s Adventist Church, Jersey City, for George R. Wiggs, ESQ. He died March 19 at his Union City home. He was a self-employed attorney in Hudson County for 50 years. He was a member of the American Bar Association. He received, among other awards, the 2001 Hudson County Bar Association Professional Lawyer of the Year Award from the N.J. Commission of Professionalism. He was the son of the late Eloise and George Wiggs, Sr., and the brother of Vivian Watkins, Elizabeth Ben Ali, and the late Annie Hunter, Henry Thomas Wiggs, and Earline Wiggs, and a revered uncle. Services arranged by the Greenville Memorial Home, Jersey City.
