Funeral services took place March 20 for Alfred J. Wieczorek, 88, of Jersey City. He died March 17 at the Hamilton Park Health Care Center in Jersey City. He was a lifelong resident of Jersey City. He served as a gunner’s mate in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked as a supervisor for Western Electric in Kearny and retired in 1980. He was a member of the Western Electric Pioneers. He was the son of the late Anthony and Stella Wieczorek, the brother of the late Henry and Edmund Wieczorek, the uncle of Gregory and the late Ronald H. Wieczorek and the great uncle of Steven Wieczorek. Services arranged by the Bromirski Funeral Home, Jersey City.
