A funeral mass was offered March 22 at St. Francis R.C. Church in Hoboken for Francesco “Frank” Aversa, 82. He died March 18 at Hoboken University Medical Center. He was born in Italy and migrated to Hoboken in 1950 and served in the Italian Navy during peacetime. A co-owner of the Aversa Produce for many years, he retired and remained a resident of Hoboken. He was a member of the Pugliese Club in Hoboken. Surviving are four children: two sons, Tony and Frank, and two daughters, Theresa DeStio and Diana; a daughter-in-law, Peg; two brothers, Louis and Carlo; four grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by his brother Umberto. Services arranged by the Failla Memorial Home, Hoboken.
