Funeral services took place March 15 for Aurelio Lugo, Jr., 61, formerly of Hoboken. He passed away March 11. Aurelio dedicated his life to doing the one thing he loved and that was to serve and protect the people of Hoboken as a police officer for over twenty-six and a half years, retiring as lieutenant. Aurelio was a member of the Hoboken Board of Education and owned Leo’s Bait and Tackle in Hoboken for many years. He was an avid fisherman. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was the husband of Barbie Lugo; son of Aurelio Sr., and the late Carmen Lugo; father of Richard and his wife Gina, Cynthia Mc Peek and her husband Craig, Evelyn Rivera and Daniel and Amanda Lugo; grandfather of Melanie, Richie and William; brother of Michael, Sonya, Evelyn, John, Alex, James and the late Jacqueline. Services arranged by the Mack Memorial Home, Secaucus.
