HOBOKEN – City budget! Union contracts! High-priced lawyers! Muni-meters! Tonight’s City Council will meet at 7 p.m. tonight has something for everyone.
The City Council will be voting on the city budget and considering the proposed police union contracts.
Memorandums of understanding (an outline of contract agreements) have been posted on the city website (PSOA and PBA).
The contracts are two years late and were negotiated on behalf of the city by Fiscal Monitor Judy Tripodi, who said recently to the Reporter that the current fiscal climate could result in a better deal for the city.
