A memorial mass was held March 6 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Somers Point for Rose DiCorcia LoVecchio, 85. She peacefully passed away at home on Feb. 27. Rose, formerly of Jersey City, lived the past twenty-two years in Somers Point. Rose graduated from Lincoln High School in Jersey City. She was employed by Western Electric and retired from AT&T. She was a member of St. Joseph Altar and Rosary Society, St. Bernadette Seniors, Shore Memorial Volunteer, Shore Memorial Auxiliary, AARP Bargaintown 982, Red Hat Society, Somers Point Senior Citizen Advisory Board, and USS New Jersey Veterans Association. Rose was predeceased by her husband Anthony, parents, Joseph and Antoinette DiCorcia, and her brother Frank DiCorcia. She will be missed by her family and friends. Rose is survived by her brother Joseph DiCorcia and wife Doris. She was the mother of Frank LoVecchio and wife Nancy of Effort Pa., JoAnne Venice (LoVecchio) and husband Ronald of Somers Point, RoseMary Reehill (LoVecchio) and husband Thomas of Egg Harbor Township, and Kathleen Komoroski (LoVecchio) and husband Steven of Rahway. She was the grandmother of Jamie Rose Venice, Kaitlin Reehill and Brian Reehill. Rose will also be missed by her cat Princess and granddog Cooper.
