Funeral services took place Feb. 26 for Michael De Simon, 66. He passed away Feb. 24 at his residence in East Brunswick. Born in Jersey City, he moved to East Brunswick 38 years ago. Mr. De Simon was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was an owner/operator of the De Simon Auto Body in Jersey City, a family owned business since 1932. Michael was a member of the Dante Allegri Society in Jersey City and also the Scout Master of Troop 61 in East Brunswick for 10 years. He was an avid golfer and accomplished guitarist. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael Carmine “Sonny” De Simon and Lucky. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kathleen De Simon, his two sons, Michael and his wife Rosie De Simon of Old Bridge, and Peter De Simon of East Brunswick; his daughter Danielle and her husband Rich Wagner of Winter Park, Fla; his three brothers, Edward, Nicholas and Louis De Simon and two grandchildren, Kaitlyn Rose and Regan Catherine.
