HUDSON COUNTY — NJ Transit plans to increase most of its fares 25 percent starting May 1. Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Tickets would climb from $1.90 per trip to $2.40. The frequency of some routes will also be reduced, based on ridership.
Public hearings are scheduled for later this month, including in Secaucus at the Lautenberg Rail Station at County Road & County Avenue, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, March 26.
The transit agency cited a looming $300 million deficit.
