Dear Editor:
We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude and most sincere thanks to all of those who responded and did their best to care for and try to save the life of our father, Andrew Amato. Our father was stricken with a heart attack late evening on February 4th at our parents’ First Street home.
The Hoboken Police Department and Ambulance Corps responded quickly and made a valiant effort to save his life as he was transported to the Hoboken University Medical Center. We would also like to thank the Emergency Room doctors who gave their best efforts to resuscitating our father at the hospital.
We will never forget your deeds and efforts in our time of need and sorrow.
Lastly, we would like to thank those in the community who showed an outpouring of support to our family and who paid their respects to the life and legacy of Andrew Amato. I know you share our loss and our dad and we are sure his spirit was shining down on all of us.
