Dear Editor:
In order for communities to have progress their citizens need to be well informed as to what happenings to take place in their respective community first and foremost Union City Mayor Brian P. Stack deserves to be commended for building a beautiful outdoor swimming pool with a view of Manhattan. We have learned that the city’s firefighter’s memorial park in Union City where the swimming pool is has won a merit award from New York Construction Magazine for best landscaped/urban design in 2009. Also, the Board of Hudson County freeholders has gone out of their way to accommodate the residents that live downtown Union City near Washington Park. Under the leadership of county freeholder and Union City commissioner Mr. Tilo Rivas, a well designed dog playground has been built for all dogs to do exercise in safe place. I urge all political leaders to be 24/7 that are there to represent their constituents to the best of their ability like Mayor Stack and Tilo Rivas always are putting the people first.
