Article: UC Zoning official may have moved out of town

UNION CITY AND BEYOND — NJ.com is reporting that a member of the Union City Zoning Board may have been living in Bergen County for the last three years and thus should not have been eligible to remain on the board according to state statute.
The Board of Commissioners finally declined to reappoint him this month, according to the story.
The story notes: “Property records and an investigation by a Union City developer at odds with the city show that [the member] has owned and lived in a Hasbrouck Heights home since at least 2007.”
However, the man is registered to vote at a Union City address.
Union City’s politics are getting more heated, as a mayor/commission election will be occurring in that town May 11.
