Zimmer thanks Haiti benefit concert participants

Dear Editor:
On behalf of the City of Hoboken, we would like to thank everyone who helped make the Hoboken for Haiti benefit Concert such a wonderful success. We raised $4,433 in donations. The money was split between the American Red Cross and the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund.
First, we want to thank Maxwells, radio station WFMU and The Guitar Bar for collaborating with the City and helping us with the logistics, marketing and equipment. Special thanks to all of the performers who donated their time and talent to make this an enjoyable event for all who attended including:
The Fuzzy Lemons, Puppetonia, Big Jeff & the Bouncy People, Jennifer Lampert, Jeremy Beck & the students from Be Vocal, Garden St. Singers from Garden St. Music, Dakota Davenport & Dan McLoughlin, Jack Skuller, Dave Calamoneri, Abbe Rivers, Schocholautte, Smokey’s Roundup, Glenn Mercer, Shrubs, the Demolition String Band, WFMU DJs: DJ Trouble, DJ Keili and Rob Weisberg and Sirius XM Satellite Radio Host Chris T.
Thanks to the Hoboken Family Alliance and Project Play for their support, those who helped with the event including Regina Gannon, Liz Morin, Peta Moran, Zabrina Stoffel, Nancy Thun, Connor Langer and the students from Stevens’ volunteer fraternity Alpha Phi Omega. Most importantly, thanks to everyone who stopped by Maxwells to make a donation and help the people of Haiti. It was wonderful to have the community come together for such an important cause.
