Funeral services took place Feb. 18 for August F. Krone, Jr., “Gus”, 75. He passed away Feb. 14 at home. Gus was husband to Gail Krone, and stepfather and role model to Deborah, Michael, Laura and Jason Skowronski; he was an amazing Poppy to Anthony Skowronski and Sean Banghart. Gus was also loved by many other friends and family members. He was a lifelong Jersey City resident. Gus was a superb floor waxer. He was a maintenance supervisor for Hudson County, as well as the owner of Krone’s Floor Waxing. For over 30 years he tended the floors of Holy Family Academy, Bayonne.
