Memorial services were held Feb. 6 for Henry James Kiesnowski. He died Dec. 23 at Jersey City Medical Center. A lifelong Jersey City resident, he was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving in World War II. He retired in 1989 as a fireman/boiler operator for the Jersey City Housing Authority. He was the husband of the late Rita Whalen Kiesnowski; the son of the late Frank and Eva Kiesnowski; and brother of the late Frank, John, Florence, Alex, Victor, Marie, Barbra, Martha and Walter. Other members of the family are sister-in-law Katharina Kesznowski; nephews Janek, Mark, Joseph, Jason, Michael, David, John and the late Francis, Gerard, Antonio Chester (AC) and Michael, and nieces Eva, Jacqueline and the late Marie (Toni) and Debra. He was a man of many friends, including Lynn Lockwood. Services arranged by the Greenville Memorial Home, Jersey City.
