BAYONNE — In introducing the $133 million 2010 FY municipal budget on Feb. 10, Bayonne Mayor Mark Smith said there will be no tax increase, despite increases in pension payments and projected costs for running a municipal election in May.
Spending is up from last year partly because of additional grants that must be inserted into the budget as expenditures as well as revenues.
“Many citizens can expect to see a slight tax decrease in their next tax bill compared to the same time period last year,” Smith said.
