A funeral mass was held Feb. 2 at St. Alosyius Church, Jersey City, for Theresa M. Caldas. She passed away at the Jersey City Medical Center on Jan. 28. Born in Jersey City, she remained a life long resident, where she was an active communicant in her parish of St. Aloysius Church. She worked as a switchboard operator at St. Peter’s College for over 20 years before retiring in 1999. She was predeceased by her 12 siblings. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Vincent J. Caldas; her sons, Jay Caldas and his wife Kathleen and Mark V. Caldas; daughter Anne Caldas and her husband Mark Wyville and grandchildren, Vincent and Lauren Caldas, and Graham and Morgan Wyville. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and a host of friends, too numerous to mention. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
