A funeral mass took place Jan. 28 at Our Lady of Victories Church for Joseph Ambrozia, 54. He died suddenly Jan. 23 at Jersey City Medical Center. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Colonia for 19 years before moving to Ocean, N.J. in 2005. He was a plumber by trade, currently working with the Jersey City Board of Education. He was the husband of Denise DeMaria Ambrozia, father of Nyssa, Robert and his wife, Carrie and Sami Jo, son of Mary (Bevacqua) and the late Gabriel Ambrozia, brother of Patrick and Gabe Ambrozia, and son-in-law of Flo DeMaria. Services arranged by the Greenville Memorial Home, Jersey City.
