To the Editor:
On Thursday of last week, I had the misfortune of being hit by a car and having my foot run over. While on the ground and having my foot pinned under the wheel, I managed to reach my cell phone and called 911 for help. This resulted in an almost instantaneous response from Bayonne’s emergency service groups, this included the Fire Fighters of the 16th Street Firehouse, Police Officer Conti and his fellow members of the Bayonne Police Department, McCabe Ambulance Service, the 911 operator and of course, nursing supervisor Helen Barberio and the Emergency Room staff at Bayonne Medical Center.
Thank you very much to all for your quick response, professionalism, and of course your compassion and caring.
