A mass of Christian burial took place Jan. 16 at St. Anne’s Church for Edward J. Fulton, 90, a lifelong resident of Jersey City. He passed away Jan. 13 at Christ Hospital. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Fulton fought on the island of Luzon in the Philippines, where he was awarded a Bronze Star for valor during combat. He was employed by the Jersey City Housing Authority for over 25 years and prior to that he was a member of St. Anne’s Church and was an avid bowler and pool player up until his late 80s. Edward was the husband of the late Anna (nee Dundon). He is survived by his sisters, Margaret DiGioia and Doris McCarthy as well as nieces and nephews, Lorraine (Michael) Blake, Donald (Regina) DiGioia, Ellen Griffith, Thomas McCarthy and Terrence McCarthy. He also leaves behind great-niece and nephew, Renee and Michael DiGioia. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
