A funeral service took place Jan. 16 at Grove Reformed Church, North Bergen, for James Arthur Fall of Beaverton, Ore., formerly of North Bergen. He passed away Jan. 9. Born in North Bergen, he lived there most of his life, moving to Oregon in recent years. A veteran of the U.S. Army in World War II, he came home and was for years the superintendent of Grove Church Cemetery. He was also an active member of the Church, serving as a member of the Consistory. James was also an active member of the Masonic Blue Tie Lodge. He was the husband of the late Emily (Pfeifle); the father of Edith Mahoney and James Fall; the brother of William Fall, and predeceased by George, David, Anna, and Edith, and grandfather of Sean and Erin Mahoney.
