Dear Editor:
On behalf of Mayor Dawn Zimmer, I want to thank everyone who participated in the City Hall Holiday Tree Lighting. What a great success! It was wonderful having so many children and teachers sharing their talents and making this such a special community event. I want to recognize the efforts of the Hoboken Police and Fire Departments, the Hoboken Board of Education, Superintendent Peter E. Carter, Peter Ising (District Director of Musical Studies), Stephanie Safka (Choral Director), Hoboken High School Vocal Ensemble, Hoboken Cheer Dynamic All-Stars, Daisy Girl Scouts, Garden Street Music School, Hannah & the M & Ms, Jennifer Lampert and students from Be Vocal, Stevens’s Institute of Technology Brass Ensemble, Elvis the Elf, all of the families who participated and of course Santa Claus.
And if you haven’t finished your holiday shopping, stop by City Hall, 94 Washington St. this Sat. or Sun. Dec. 19 and 20 for the City Hall Holiday Crafts Fair, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will feature unique handcrafted gift items by over 40 artists, photographers and crafters.
We hope everyone had a happy and healthy holiday season.
Best regards,
Geri Fallo
