A funeral mass was celebrated Dec. 21 at St. Augustine R.C. Church for Stephen Genzel, 78, formerly of Bayonne. He passed away Dec. 16 in North Bergen. He was born in Hoboken and was an electrical engineer at Fort Monmouth in Long Branch. He was a Korean war veteran, US Army. He was a member of the Disabled Veterans of America. He was the husband of Joan (nee Smith); the father of Tara Genzel; the brother of William and Margaret Genzel and Anita O’Rourke; the uncle of many nieces and nephews, and the great-uncle of many great nieces and great-nephews.
