NORTH BERGEN AND BEYOND — Apparently, a local church thought it was just doing the right thing by giving out food to local immigrants, seniors, and children. But now they may be in some hot water.
They recently said that some of the food had been thrown out by a local farmer’s market, and that the church got it from dumpsters. They cleaned it and gave it out.
The local health officer isn’t too happy. And it seems that the people who took the food did not know where it came from.
