NAPOLITANO, ALPHONSE

A mass of Christian burial was held Dec. 16 at St. Ann’s R.C. Church, Hoboken, for Alphonse (Alfonsoe) Napolitano, 78. He died Dec. 13 following an illness. Born and raised in Hoboken, Alphonse joined the United States Air Force and was a Korean War veteran. His interest in aircrafts, combined with military aircraft maintenance training, led him to a long successful career as a licensed aircraft mechanic with United Airlines at Newark Airport before retiring. Alphonse is survived by his sisters, Connie Arciere and Phyllis Palermo; his children, Debra Leopardi and Mark Napolitano, and grandchildren, Christopher Leopardi, Marc and Michelle Napolitano. Services arranged by the Lawton-Turso Funeral Home, Hoboken.
