STATEWIDE — Outgoing Gov. Jon Corzine appointed 180 people to unpaid positions in the state, over the objects of the camp of incoming Gov. Chris Christie, the Star-Ledger reported this morning.
Among those appointments:
“Other prominent Democrats named by Corzine last night include elected officials, such as former Hudson County Freeholder Maurice Fitzgibbons to the North Jersey District Water Supply Commission and Newark Councilman Ronald C. Rice, Jr. to the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission.”
North Jersey District Water Supply Commission? Is there jostling for those spots?
