Funeral services were held Dec. 7 for Olwyn McGuire, 91. She passed away Dec. 3 at Palisades Medical Center, North Bergen. She retired in 1995 as a clerk for the West New York Board of Education, working in Public School No. 2 for 24 years. She was a member of the Jersey Lassies Basketball team 1937-1938; also a member of the West New York Exempt Fire House Ladies Auxiliary and the West New York Babe Ruth Ladies auxiliary. She was predeceased by her parents, David and Ellen, and her brother William “Bob” Davies; she was the wife of the late Frank “Mickey” McGuire; the mother of Ellen Goulding, Patti McGuire Nelson and her husband Mark;, and the grandmother of Robert Goulding, Meaghan McGonigle and her husband Ian. Services arranged by the Vainieri Funeral Home, North Bergen.
