ARMSTRONG, ROBERT JOHN

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Nov. 30 at St. Nicholas of Tolentine Church, Atlantic City for Robert John “Jack” Armstrong, of Atlantic City, proprietor of Armstrong Lock Service in Jersey City for 45 years. He passed away Nov. 25 with his family in attendance. Jack served in the U.S. Navy in Wolrd War II stationed in the South Pacific on the USS Wabash OAG. In 1951 Jack married his beloved wife Florence and recently celebrated their 58th Anniversary. Jack and Florence were constant companions, best friends, and loved to travel. They relocated to Atlantic City in 1999 to spend more time with family. He was the father of Robert, Bayonne, Regina, Atlantic City, Janice Cox (Ted) Alpharetta, Ga., and Carol Harney (Joe) Marmora, NJ; the grandfather of Glen and Caitlin Harney and Lindsey and Julie Cox. Jack was known and loved by his family and friends. His smile, generosity, and profound wit was enjoyed by everyone who knew him. Services arranged by the George H.
