JERSEY CITY — Christmas is coming early to Jersey City this weekend.
Metro Honda, 540 Route 440, is taking part in the 14th Annual Jersey Cares Coat Drive until this Saturday, Dec. 5. The public can bring gently-used coats to Metro Honda’s reception desk.
Also on Saturday from 1 – 4 p.m., the Loew’s Theater, 54 Journal Square, children and adults who are kids at heart and even pets can enjoy this classic holiday tradition in the beautifully decorated Grand Lobby of the Loew’s. (Pet owners are asked to come between the hours of 2:30 PM and 4 PM.) A visit with Santa is free. A digital photo with him is only $3. But if you bring a new, unwrapped toy or article of clothing for the needy, the photo will be free.
And Loew’s this weekend is also showing holiday films with “Holiday Inn” tonight at 8 p.m. and “Modern Times” on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. – RK
