A memorial mass was held Nov. 24 at St. Aloysius Church for Anna J. Holzer, 90. She passed away Oct. 13 at her home in Plano, Texas. Anna was born in Jersey City and was a lifelong resident until moving to Plano in 1996. She was employed as a secretary for Dickinson High School for many years before retiring. Anna was predeceased by her husband Michael T. Holzer and her parents, Helen and Benjamin Macanka. She was the mother of Michele Nolan and her husband Joe, and Richard Holzer and his wife Margot, and sister of Dorothy Rogan and Benjamin Macanka. Anna is also survived by her grandchildren, Kristen Gutierrez, Raven and Taylor Holzer and is the great-grandmother of Julia Gutierrez. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
