HOBOKEN — Supporters of Hoboken mayoral candidate (and current Acting Mayor) Dawn Zimmer were optimistically awaiting the election results as of 8:30 p.m. She faced six challengers today for a four-year term.
The election is winner-take-all, and there won’t be a runoff. However, if either Zimmer or Councilwoman Beth Mason wins the mayoralty, there will be an election next year to fill their council seat.
