Dear Editor:
Over the years I’ve had the pleasure of working with numerous community activists and politicians in various efforts to control overdevelopment, ensure clean and honest elections, lower taxes, improve quality of life and support open government. We’ve seen some successes and experienced some frustrations, but it seems we may be positioned to experience a sea change in Hoboken’s government. With that hope in mind, I intend to cast my vote for Beth Mason in the upcoming mayoral election and ask that you consider doing the same.
Beth has been a strong presence in our community for many years. She is smart, tenacious, hardworking, and honest. Her efforts have been instrumental in providing us with access to public forums and records, City Hall and HUMC spending and budget information, input on the Master Plan, and opportunities to participate in and foster good governance. I trust that Beth will put her considerable talents to work diligently toward the betterment of Hoboken and will restore integrity to the Office of the Mayor. Please join me in supporting Beth Mason on November 3.
