A funeral mass was celebrated Oct. 21 at St. Vincent’s Church, Bayonne, for Irene Pacheco Galang, 63. She died Oct. 17 at Jersey City Medical Center. Born in the Philippines, the daughter of the late Dr. Virginia Contreras Pacheco and Gonzalo Pacheco, she lived in Michigan before moving to Jersey City in 1983. She was a data entry operator for St. Martin’s Press, New York City. She was the former wife of the late Dr. Angel A. Galang; the mother of Angel P. III, Cecilia Galang Fiore, Leah Anne Galang and Lyssa Anne Delacuadra; the grandmother of Aaron, Robert, Cameron, Angel IV, Ronald and Isabella, and the sister of Francisco C. Santos, Nydia Sims, Joselito Pacheco, Erlinda Abalos and Renato Pacheco. Services arranged by the Greenville Memorial Home, Jersey City.
