Dear Editor:
When Beth Mason told me she was running for Mayor of Hoboken my first reaction was “Hoboken’s gain, our loss.” I have worked with her across the river in the media and advertising business for many years. She has brought such integrity, strategic vision, and fiscal responsibility to all of the businesses and projects on which we have worked together, that I will miss her involvement while she serves a larger cause. And I have no doubt she will be an excellent mayor for Hoboken. I have seen her cut through intractable issues, impossible budget challenges, and deal with rough and tumble characters, and come out the other side with excellent results, with all participants feeling great about the solutions. If you want the most impossible problems solved, choose Beth. We’ll just have to do without her in business for awhile. The only thing we’re not happy about is that there are no term limits. After doing well for Hoboken, eventually, we want her back.
