If you click the upper right of our homepage, you can see that the Accuweather forecasters are concerned about a heavy rainstorm from Thursday night into early Friday. The wind may get up to 40-50 miles per hour, and there could be coastal flooding and power outages.

The Accuweather forecast says: “A storm forming along the East Coast will produce a substantial amount of rain from the Virginias to southern New England within the next 36 hours. The region from eastern Virginia to Connecticut and Rhode Island will be hardest hit with 1-2 inches of rain. A raw wind out of the northeast will average 20-30 mph during the height of the storm and coastal locations from Atlantic City to Montauk Point, Long Island, could have gusts as high as 50 mph. The strong onshore flow will cause coastal flooding at the times of high tide.”
