A funeral mass was celebrated Oct. 5 at St. Joseph’s Church for Vincent S. Costanza, Sr., 94. He passed away Sept. 30 at Christ Hospital. Mr. Costanza was born in Palermo, Italy and had been a resident of Jersey City for 85 years. He retired from Colgate Palmolive Co. after 40 years. Mr. Costanza was a 61 year member of the Knights of Columbus, Paulus Hook Council 137, the Boy Scouts of America for 45 years and a longtime communicant of St. Joseph’s Church. Mr. Costanza was predeceased by his wife, Rose Costanza. He is survived by two sons, Gary and wife Holly, Vincent Jr. and wife Patricia; his grandchildren Karen, Vincent, Gerard, Gregory, and eight great grandchildren. Mr. Costanza is also survived by his brother Anthony and wife Fran, his sister-in-law Carmela, and is predeceased by his brother John and sister.
