To the Editor:
The people of Bayonne need a foot-bridge that crosses the 440 Highway into Lefante Way. Many adults, senior citizens, and youngsters who do not drive need a safe and convenient way to go to the Frank Movie Theaters, restaurants and stores in that area.
I use the words “safe” and “convenient” because 440 has speeding cars, and people that have to cross it, young kids and the elderly in particular, put their safety at risk. Therefore, a foot-bridge will allow more Bayonneites to go and spend a day at the movies and enjoy shopping at the stores and eating at the fine restaurants.
