Two political figures who put the people first

Dear Editor:
September 25, 2009 will always be remembered as one of the most important days for the entire community of Union City. On this day the grand opening of the new Union City High school took place and was attended by Governor Corzine, Mayor Brian P. Stack and numerous New Jersey elected officials. The new Union City High School is a dream come true for the children of this community. Generations after generations our children and residents that live in Union City will always be thankful of the past and present political figures that in one way or another were instrumental in creating this phenomenal building.
Today six weeks before the Governatorial election (Nov. 3, 2009) I would like to make it public in this local newspaper that reaches every town in Hudson County, that I appreciate that New Jersey has stay above in economic opportunities despite the recession that has many states throughout the Country struggling to financially survive. Under the leadership of Governor Corzine our entire public Educational system has not shorthanded our children. Under Governor Corzine thousands of new jobs have been created and with his strong desire to maintain New Jersey’s high ways as one of the top in our entire nation. I trust the ability of Jon Corzine is a self made multi-millionaire and the reason why he is so successful is because his passion to construct and to destroy what is not working for the betterment of the people. As an active citizen of this country, I see a similarity of Governor Jon Corzine and Mayor and State Senator of the 33rd District Brian P. Stack and that is to work hard and give better opportunities for a better life to all their constituents.
We need to be consistent when electing public officials not only in New Jersey but at the national level. I’m aware that the majority of the American people are tired of individuals who they helped become elected officials and have not produce positive results but in the case of Governor Corzine and Mayor Brian P. Stack the majority realizes these two elected officials have put the need of the people first.

Respectfully
Oscar Cordero
