A funeral mass was held Sept. 23 at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church for Stefan Suchowacki. He died Sept. 20 at the Liberty House Nursing Home in Jersey City. He was born in Poland and was 66 years old. He worked for many years as a machinist for the Colgate Palmolive Company in Jersey City. He was the husband of Luba (nee Czerhoniak); the father and father-in-law of Kris Ann Simmionidis and her husband Gary and Renee Alicia Gutierrez and her husband Richard; the grandfather of Kaitlyn and Kameryn Simmionidis and Gianna and Stefania Gutierrez; the brother of Peter, William and Mark Suchowacki, Melanie Turkewicz and the late Andrzej Suchowacki and the uncle of many nieces and nephews.
