A funeral mass was offered Sept. 19 at St. Anthony Church for Irene Veronica Gubitosi, 92. She passed away peacefully on Sept. 15 in Wilmington, Del. Born in Hoboken, Irene was a long-time resident of Union City. She was pre-deceased by her husband Albert Gubitosi and survived by her children: Robert Gubitosi and his wife Kathleen, Dennis Gubitosi and his wife Beverly, Patricia Furst and her husband Ted, Maureen Gubitosi and her husband Ed Isnardi; seven grandchildren: Robert Gubitosi Jr., Chris Gubitosi, Kathleen Potter, Desiree LiCausi, Buffy Disko, Joseph Gandolfo, Michael Gandolfo, and 15 great-grandchildren: Sean and Brett Gubitosi, Alyssa, Bryan, Nicole, Emilee, Carlie Gubitosi, Matthew, Michelle and Andrew Potter, Bruce LiCausi Jr., Lucas Disko, Christopher and Ella Gandolfo, and Mia Gandolfo. Irene will be missed by all who loved her. Services arranged by the Leber Funeral Home, Union City.
