A sense of pride in Union City

Dear Editor:
We all know that during summer months residents in city of life walk the streets more than any time of the year. In order to slow careless drivers who drive above city limits, Mayor Brian P. Stack came up with an initiative to decorate our streets with speed bump and protect all pedestrians while they use the local streets. The reason once again to give better quality of life to every resident, Brian is always thinking ahead of different ways to protect our community. Also numerous streets that were in bad shape have been paved and our community continues to beautify under Mayor Stack’s leadership and needless to say all walks of life feel pride living in Union City.
For those residents that enjoy spending family time together with their love ones Union City offers excellent, modern libraries with top notch books, magazines and newspapers. Also, every Thursday evening at 24 Street Park in New York Ave. a free concert is performed for residents to enjoy live entertainment. Here in Union City we have two beautiful indoor swimming pools open seven days a week from early hours to late at night. Union City is one of the towns of Hudson County where most people want to live and raise a family and an additional reason is because Union City is a model in urban education throughout the state of New Jersey.

Respectfully,
Oscar Cordero
