Answer: We don’t know yet. But we will soon.
PolitickerNJ reports: “A federal court hearing is planned for an unnamed former Hudson County official today – one of the 44 defendants caught up in the massive corruption and money laundering sting in July. The hearing is set for 12:30pm today in Newark.”
As Peter Scolari and Tom Hanks used to say on Bosom Buddies, “Whoooo isssss itttt?”
Since this is a “former” official, it would have to be someone who resigned after the arrests. Could it be former Hoboken Mayor Peter Cammarano? Former Secaucus Mayor Dennis Elwell? Or another Jersey City official, since two of them have already made their pleas?
We’ll let you know as soon as we know! And around these parts, that shouldn’t take long.
