A funeral mass was offered Sept. 16 at Immaculate Conception Church for Barbara Phillips, 74. She passed away Sept. 13. She was born in Jersey City but was a long time resident of Secaucus. Barbara worked in the payroll department of Panasonic Corp. in Secaucus for many years, retiring 10 years ago. She was the vice president of the Secaucus Senior Citizen building; a member of the North Hudson Chapter of Head Start; a member of the 1st Response Unit of Secaucus and, with her husband, the 2009 Secaucus Irish Couple of the Year. She was the wife of Paul Phillips Sr., and the mother of Cynthia Messina and husband Bobby, Sharon Tabbacchino and husband Ernie, Paul Phillips and wife Angelia and Peter Phillips and his wife Jennifer; the sister of Lorraine Luzzi and Lawrence Petrie; the grandmother of Elizabeth and John Petrella, Joanna Phillips, Rachel Messina, Amanda Quesada, Sharon, Matthew and Ava Phillips. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Services arranged by the Mack Memorial Home, Secaucus.
