A funeral mass was celebrated Sept. 4 at St. Matthias Church, Somerset, for Richard H. Raines, 86, of Hoboken, formerly of North Bergen. He died Aug. 27. Richard was a World War II Coast Guard veteran, and retired from W.R. Grace Co., New York, where he worked in maintenance. He lived in North Bergen for 40 years and Hoboken for four years, previously in West New York. He was the husband of the late Leonara (nee Bresticker); the son of the late Richard and Florence; the brother-in-law of the late Eileen and Stanley Bresticker; the brother of the late Florence Klute and Vera Devlin; the uncle of David and Michael Bresticker and Julianne Murphy and their families, and is also survived by nine great nieces and nephews.
