On July 26 at the Hoboken Elks Lodge Ricky Repetti awarded Ashly Hensle the Albie Decker Scholarship. Albie was a longtime Elk member who past away last August.
“Albie Decker was my Godfather and an important part of our family’s life. He and my father, Robert Hensle, met at Tenth Street Park the day before entering kindergarten. They remained best friends for 34 years until my father’s passing in 1994. I am also the niece of two other long-time friends of Albie’s – Hoboken Elk’s members Liz Romano and Joe Reinhart.”
Ashly Hensle has been accepted into Georgian Court University in Lakewood, NJ where she will pursue a Degree in Education.
