Tiger Woods, the top-ranked player in the 2009 FedExCup standings, has officially committed to play The Barclays, the first event in the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup, Aug. 25-30 at Liberty National in Jersey City, N.J.
Along with Woods, 124 of the current 125 in the FedExCup standings have committed to an event that will showcase the best players on the PGA TOUR and kick-off the four-event PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup. Only Tom Watson is not committed to play.
Fans can get their Barclays tickets at www.thebarclaysgolf.com. Daily and weekly tickets are valid starting Tuesday of tournament week, Aug. 25.
The Barclays has been a part of the PGA TOUR schedule since 1967 when Jack Nicklaus won the inaugural event at Westchester Country Club.
